That's very true, Biscuit Tin's original medals cannot be replaced by a quick trip to London, it is indeed very sad to see a fine group butchered by a person with little or no respect, even a brief glance at the portraits of this well known officer clearly show that he never wore his medals loose, moreover, that awful ribbon, one would have hoped that at the very least the basic colours would be correct! :(

I'd certainly much rather have his original BSA Co medal, I wonder if it is still extant?

The QSA to Trolley Proprietor A H Martin has been around for a long time. He is back on sale at the next Dominic Winter auction on 15 May 15.

Looking back, DNW sold this medal on 23rd September 2005 for a hammer price of £460!

Just coming back on the DoL to Commander E. C. Tyndale-Biscoe, Royal Navy from December. The group was estimated at £12-15k and sold for £30k.
