Here you are Wray - the engraving is impressively crisp - no clasp as he, with most I.M.R. fellows, never crossed the river.

Does anyone know what activity Trooper Lyle was involved in to warrant his medal?

By the way, I am selling it at Noonan's auction next month (April 2025). Sadly the medal was turned into a brooch.

The QSA is named to S.S. [Shoeing Smith] W. Shuter - not Whiter.
Relationship to recipient of Zulu medal not known. Does not appear to be his son or brother.
