According to Colin H. Benbow among the 4,619 POWs held on the islands of the Great Sound of Bermuda some were citizens of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden (Benbow 1982, p. 11). I have identified only one among these Scandinavians, a Norwegian land-surveyeor named Peter Ingvald Schrøder-Nielsen, who arrived with SS Montrose in January 1902.
1. Does anyone know of other Scandinavians held on the islands? Benbow only mentions Schrøder-Nielsen in his book.
2. I am also looking for articles, documents, and books about the camps in Bermuda where Scandinavians appear. I have Colin Benbows book and the Schrøder-Nielsens book in Norwegian from 1925 (English edition 2012).
