Thanks Trev, RobD and Elmarie for taking an interest in this. I really appreciate your expertise. I had been wondering whether, due to the seriousness of his injuries, he might have been processed as a prisoner at the hospital in Johannesburg, rather than at Naauwpoort. But your theories that he might have been sent to a concentration camp or not taken prisoner at all make a lot of sense. Will keep poking around and check out the Naauwpoort POW name Elmarie provided.
