Dear Forummers,
I own a C96 Mauser pistol, serial number 20514. This was taken into Westley Richard's London inventory on March 2nd 1900. It was sold to the London retailer "Army & Navy Co-operative Society Ltd" on March 13, 1900. The same day, ANCSL sold the pistol to "Captain Brocklehurst".
On this website, I see two mentions to Capt Bocklehurst of the Somerset Light Infantry, being Mentioned in Despatches.
I'd be most grateful to read the MID citations as well as anything else I can learn about him.

For your records Rob.

Also his christian name was Robert.
With reference to the MIDs in the London Gazette. He is mentioned in Robert's 1901 but no description of why he was mentioned. A list of officers and men serving with the Somerset LI
The same applies to the 1902 entry for Kitcheners final despatch. Names but no specific actions.
