I agree Frank but that is the only one that I could find that Died at Sea, using the names he had supplied......

We also do not know when the photo was taken, he could have transferred to S.G. but not likely.......

I am going to have to dig out my B.W. roll and see if there is anything there......

Just checked Black Watch lists all 3 Battalions and did not find any casualty named Brown or Gordon that Died at Sea......

Yes looked there, there were 3 Black Watch but none who matched the two possible names.....

Looking at the image, I feel that the photograph was taken in the very late 1890's, this "Boy" was just that, he is very clearly, indeed, not old enough, or for that matter, tall enough, to actually have been a Private in the Scots Guards!
