Hello Mike,
A really superb medal, have you got anything from WO126/55-65, if not, it would certainly be worth looking, as you would at the very least have Fred West Pearce's signature.
I checked that address in RG12 and RG13 etc, which proved inconclusive, but, I believe you should take it further, Brett had a very similar medal last year and the recipient proved to be fasinating.

Mike,

The letter says he died on 1 Feb 00. Steve Watt confirms and says he dies of scarlet fever.

The Times of 7 Feb 00 reported his death occurred on the 7th.
