Trooper J.Labuschange
QSA & Long service Police medal
The QSA is named to J.Labuschange C.C.F.with clasps SA1902 & Cape Colony.
The rolls show him as serving with the Farmers Guard & Colonials Scouts.
The QSA is a late issue with a fixed suspender.
I believe the Farmers Guard came under the C.C.F.
The Police medal is named to No.5119 (F) Constable J.C.Labuscagne
Most grateful if any of our members can add any more information on the Police medal.

The (F) is on the Police medal not the QSA
Lot 734
Pair: Constable J. C. Labuscagne, South African Police Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Cape Colony, South Africa 1902 (Tpr. J. Labuschagne, C.C.F.); South African Police Good Service Medal, 2nd issue (No.5119(F) Constable J. C. Labuscagne), note variation in initials and surname, good very fine (2)

Hello Paul,

Nice pair of medals. The (F) denotes Foot while (f) denotes female.

This medal is the "Type Two" issued from 1932 until 1951. There might possible be some paperwork available for this chap in Pretoria. A mate of mine, Terence King might be able to assist you further. His contact details are: [email protected]

Cheers
