Thank you for the Ackland biography. It is accounts such as this one that make medal-collecting a rewarding hobby. Ackland's name would have always have stood out on rolls because of his DCM, but now he can be better remembered as a man. Wherever his medals go in future, they will hopefully always be accompanied by this biography.

I think any medal to a member of this fine corps is not only quite scarce, but, is also really quite desirable, given their fight on the Kop, however, you actually have a very good gallantry pair.
Interestingly, I do know of a collector here, in fact rather close to me, who has a large TMI collection and I dare say he would very much like to have those in it too!
Wonderful medals and ones that only very seldom come up for sale these days.
