Hello Paul,
I think with TG's and DMT's price is everything, don't pay too much unless there is something very special about the recipient in question or the unit, some of which were very small indeed.

Okay, well I think it would have been better if it had have been, but, that is just me, the war entered a new and far more brutal phase towards its end, notwithstanding, if you consult WO126/117-120 you may well be able to take him further too, the button, which is really quite rare, would have been worn by an officer of the unit.

Does the supplemetary roll show service in 1902?
Their nominal roll shows discharged in 1901.

Prices have rocketed over recent times, in particular for the small units, as a rule, I would say look for the DMT's first, some of the appointments in the daily Cape Colony orders for the officers are very interesting.

Congrats Paul,
I think it is a nice lot that you came away with, what made you choose them in particular, over all the many others on offer on the day?

Thanks Frank,
I am pleased with them.
In answer to your question I purchased them because I liked them and they were different to others in my collection.

Cheers
Paul :)
