Well, it took some time to do it; only excuse is doing other things! IL finally contacted Dewald Nel about the (extremely brief) WW1 service of James Arthur WORSLEY and the final word is that he was certainly entitled to a 14/15 Star trio. Dewald had some considerable trouble finding the appropriate Service Card and when it was finally located, a notation is "21 Aug.1914 Died at Prieska Camp - supposed overdose of morphia" (morphine). There is no mention of his Regiment; nor any entry for Next-of-Kin.
Dewald told me that it would appear that no WW1 medals were issued for him.
A sad end to an accomplished man.
As a footnote, I would strongly recommend the services of Dewald Nel for research.
Regards to all
IL.
