Hi All,

I was successful at the City Coins auction with two bids, one was no 70, the QSA to the Malta MI.
Does any member have info on the unit, I don't recall having heard of it until the auction.

Cheers,

Jim

Hello Jim,
Nothing to add to the catalogue entry for him, which really tells you most of what you need to know, he is also shown on the supplementary roll of the 2nd Battalion of his parent unit in WO100/168 page 150, this however, is crossed out, without any note in the remarks column.
Another good rare medal!
Regards Frank

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the reply. The medal will be a most welcome addition to my collection. I've never been to Malta but from what I have read there was an absence of rolling plains to train on.

Cheers,

Jim

Hello Jim,
You need to bare in mind that all these men were members of the British Armies Malta Garrison, they were already very well trained.

Jim,

The last I heard about this medal was when Natalie let me know my bid had not been successful so I am pleased it has found a good home.

Best wishes
David
