Since I posted this I have found out that Malcolm was in fact, Malcolm "Gibbs" Goddard, who went on to be a 2nd Lieut in the ILH, and seems to have ended his career as a Major in the Royal Field
Artillery during WW1. I have no further information about the possible 3rd brother.

QSA (6) Elandslaagte, Defence of Ladysmith, Orange Free State, Laing's Nek, Belfast, Cape Colony (8821 Serjt: R. Hill. A.S.C.);
KSA (2) (8821 C. S. Major. R. Hill. A.S.C.)

One of 11 Elandslaagte clasps to the ASC.

Rowland Hill was born at Brighton, Sussex in 1870 and enlisted there with the Army Service Corps on 27 June 1889. Promoted Sergeant in May 1899 he was serving in this rank when he was posted to South Africa in September 1899. Seeing action at Elandslaagte and later during the Siege of Ladysmith, Hill left South Africa briefly from December 1900-February 1901 whereupon he returned to active service. From then Hill served in South Africa well beyond the war, being tried and convicted by a Court Martial in 1905 which resulted in imprisonment and a reduction in rank. Returning to duty, Hill was discharged on 26 April 1909;
