A thought, anyone?
Surely it can't be the whole Morant, Handcock and Witton thing?

Frank,

Maybe the Morant thing lingers, the Aussie have a propensity to think they were wronged, the under dog. Morant, Gallipoli, NG, Tobruk, Long Tan.... & so on. I agree it is strangely at odds with other countries that participated in the Boer War and other battles.

My thoughts as an outsider looking in.

Cheers

Hi Stephen,
Your thoughts are most appreciated, all I know is they are very expensive! :(

Frank,

I am guessing but my belief is a number in this forum would be more interested and better served by the Spink Auction happening around the same time?

Just a hunch.

Cheers

Hi Stephen,
Yes, I agree with you, though, I was disappointed with whats on offer at Spink this month, their auction back in April was much better as far as the Boer War is concerned.

As you might guess, that pair of medals would fit very well into my collection!

Frank

In the case of Australian QSA's, is it not perhaps a matter of supply and demand, coupled with the justifiable immense pride that Australians have in their military history?

Regards
Brett
