I cannot see any records at the National Archives (in London) relating to the WIR in St Helena, other than the medal roll.

It's named to: 2915 P _ R. KNIGHT. 3RD WEST INDIA REGT.

M&E say 'A. Lorde of the 3rd West India Regiment is confirmed on the medal roll. The 3rd West India Regiment were employed in guarding Boer Prisoners on the islands of St. Helena and Bermuda.'
