The NVAC were quickly created near the start of the war to help with the casualties being sustained by the Ladysmith Relief Force. They were also short-lived, being disbanded in March 1900.

QSA (2) Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith (Br: G. Hanton. Natal Vol: Amb: C.)

George Hanton served as a Bearer from 9 December 1899 to 12 March 1900.

Also served in the Native Labour Corps as 21 Overseer, earning the Transvaal clasp WO100/215p305).

1915-15 Star (Pte F. E. Kirkbride Potch Cdo.;);
BWM and AVM (bilingual) (Pte F. E. Kirkbride Potch Cdo.)

George Firth Kirkbride enlisted in the N.V.A.C. on 11 December 1899 and was discharged 6 March 1900. Second initial on Roll looks like a T.
Sold with copied Rolls and photo of gravestone (died 2 September 1921.)

Son F. E. Kirkbride served in the Potchefstroom A Commando.
Sold with copied WWI card.

Thomas Cock served as Bearer with the Natal Volunteer Ambulance Corps from 9 December 1899, and also served with No.4 Railway Pioneer Regiment.
