Thanks Dave - yes, I have the medal rolls and had noted that - it still doesn't bring me any closer to an answer though.

I gleaned the following from the Middlesex Regimental history (Internet Archive) - it still doesn't provide the answer - I imagine nothing short of a roll call of names of those present at Ital or Prospect would do - but it does give more context.
