I have only read this now and had to rejoin this forum as a result of a major laptop crash . Kommandant Oosthuizen was my great grandfather and I inherited
his medals in the 70's after my grandmother who had made the initial application in the 20's passed in 1974 . I did extensive research until I very sadly
was forced to sell the medals in 2019. At the time of the sale I had a file from various sources describing the battles he was involved in , including his last
fatal battle and a photo of the memorial commemorating that battle . Please let me know if you ever received that file as I can still retrieve details from my old hard drive
