The Fusiliers Monument on Pieter’s Hill has fallen into disrepair somewhat, the top third is now gone. Presumably a lightning strike, perhaps because the copper lightning conductor was stolen for its scrap value? It's the sort of project if a few £100 were raised by interested people in the UK it could be put right, as the expertise to do so is available locally - but South Africa has other priorities right now...
