Together with tribute medals “Presented to C. Gottermeyer 1902 10TH NZ CONGT BY THE MARSHLAND DISTRICT E:B, hallmarked WHH, anchor, b; 9ct, 9.1g.

Charles Gottermeyer (legally Karl), bn Christchurch, 1878, died 1954, enlisted with the E Squadron of the South Island Battalion on 8 April 1902. He transferred to the 9 NZMR on 30 June 1902, returned to NZ & worked as a market gardener. Ex Ming Court Antiques, Christchurch, 7/8/1987.
