Well raise my rent......Found it on Liverpool Medals
King’s South Africa Medal, bar South Africa 1902, 5549 Pte. D. Packham, Grenadier Guards, a rare and most unusual confirmed single bar issue of the King’s South Africa Medal due to his wound received in action at the battle of Belmont resulting in being invalided home and not returning until 1902.
No mention of it being sold with paperwork and no images of engraving.
Also states he was only entitled to Belmont clasp.
I would love to see the medal roll for his KSA....
Many thanks for all the info......seems he managed to get 2 1902 clasps. And there are 3 more medals out there somewhere to Private Packham and not 2 as I originally thought. The wonderful world of medal collecting!!
You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.
Best regards,
Dave
