Ref lot 139
QSA (0) (Nurs: Sister J. Cameron, Scottish Hosp:);
KSA (0) (Nursing Sister J. Cameron.)

There is some confusion as to identity in the write-up of this lot

There were 2 totally separate "Scottish Hospitals" in South Africa, one from Edinburgh and East of Scotland, the other from Glasgow and West of Scotland, sometimes called the Scottish "Red Cross" Hospital.

The lot postscript describes the history of the Glasgow based Hospital.
There is no Nurse by name of CAMERON on the medal roll of that unit.

There is a CAMERON initial I or J on the Edinburgh Hospital roll.

The write-up has no relevance whatsoever to the recipient of this pair.

and FWIW R. LOWE the subject of the opening post on this topic was a member of the Edinburgh and East of Scotland version of the Scottish Hospital
