Steven,

With the 4th Dragoon Guards he earned the Indian General Service Medal with clasp Punjab Frontier 1897-98.

Interestingly, he is listed on the Boer War medal roll (WO100/299p205) as serving, from the 2nd Dragoon Guards, on the staff of the foreign military attaches. He has Johannesburg ticked for this service.

Hi Dave
Thats great and interesting the mention of the indian service medal isnt on his papers.
I guess he got the Johannesburg clasp for being on the office of the attache.
