Listed on WO100/117p274. Note adds 'Discharged time expired'. He left South Africa 4 December 1900 after 356 days.

William Bright. Enlisted 12 January 1888, aged 18. Barber.

Described as:

Medal and all 7 clasps are confirmed on the medal roll of the 14th King’s Hussars. 19-year-old Ernest Joseph Sturgess from Shuttlehanger, Northampton, attested for the 14th Hussars at Shorncliffe on 19th October 1889. He transferred the Army Reserve on 17th October 1893 but was recalled on 9th October 1899. He served in South Africa from 13th December 1899 until 8th November 1900 and was finally discharged on 10th February 1900.
