SAGS (1) 1879 (29/1910. Pte. W. Ring. 58th. Foot.)

W. Ring served with the 58th Regiment of Foot in South Africa, and was severely wounded at Laing’s Nek on 28 January 1881.

IGS 1895 (3) Punjab Frontier 1897-98, Samana 1897, Tirah 1897-98 (2901 Pte. F Edwards, 1st Bn., North;n Regt);
QSA (4) Belmont, Modder River, Orange Free State, Transvaal (2901 Pte. F Edwards, 2nd, Northampton Regt);
KSA (2) (2901 Pte. F Edwards, 2nd, Northampton Regt).

Frederick Edwards was born on the 5th of September 1872 in Northampton, he enlisted on the 29th of October 1890 at Northampton, aged 18 years. Trade clicker. Private Edwards saw Service abroad in India, and he was part of the Tirah Expedition 1897-8. He also served in South Africa 21st of October 1899 to 24th of June 1902 with the 2nd Northamptonshire Regiment, he was discharged 26th of October 1902.

I recently acquired the Sanders QSA - wonder if it is the original or the replacement?

Other entitlement was the IGS - clasps Clasps: Samana 1897; Punjab Frontier 1897-98; and Tirah 1897-98. Does anyone have this medal?
