James Lambert was born on 28 December 1873 at Bedminster, Somerset and joined the Royal Navy on 19 February 1894 as a Stoker 2nd Class. Serving afloat for the first time with Arrogant from 27 January 1895, he was promoted to Leading Stoker 2nd Class on 8 October 1899. Joining Terpsichore on 6 February 1901 he saw Boer War service with her and was promoted to Leading Stoker 1st Class during his time on this ship.

Lambert was awarded his LS&GC medal on 23 February 1909. He joined Agincourt on 4 August 1914 and was still with her when she was involved in the Battle of Jutland. She fired 144 twelve-inch shells and 111 six-inch shells during the engagement and despite having targeted multiple warships it is not known if she landed a hit. Leaving Agincourt on 26 February 1919 he was discharged on 1 December 1919.

He joined the Royal Fleet Reserve on 15 February 1916, it is not confirmed when he completed his service with them.

Noonan's state approximately 45 Africa General Service Medals with the clasp Jubaland awarded to HMS Terpsichore and approximately 137 QSAs the clasps Cape Colony and South Africa 1902 awarded to HMS Terpsichore.

William Herbertt Forder was born in St. Margaret, Norfolk, on 10 Decemebr 1977 and joinedthe Rouyal Navy as a Boy Second Class on 18 January 1893. Rated Boy Signalman from 11 August 1894, he was advanced Second Yeoman of the Signals on 20 April 1900 and served in HMS Terpsichore from 7 February 1901 to 25 April 1904. He landed with the Naval Brigade from HM Ships Magicienne, Scout, and Terpsichore during the operations against the Ogaden Somalis at Kismayu in 1901, and subsequently served with Terpsichore’s brigade at Lambert’s Bay, Cape Colony, in 1901 during the Boer War, thus having the rare distinction of receiving campaign two campaign medals with the one bearing a later monarch’s effigy being worn first. Remaining in Terpsichore he was subsequently employed slave cruising off Zanzibar in April 1902.

Forder was promoted Chief Yeoman of Signals on 11 October 1907, and served during the Great War in a variety of ships and shore based establishments. He transferred to the Royal Fleet Reserve on 3 December 1917, and was latterly employed in the Mercantile Marine.

He died in Southampton in 1931.
