I’m interested in a QSA to a 4083 W Tewson 4th Dragoons Guards.
Clasps CC, Defence of Ladysmith and OFS.
On a quick search the number 4082 and name W Tewson is to the 3rd Dragoons?
This is the only Tewson I could find?
Is this info on the Medal correct?

To answer your question...…. I have checked the two sets of records that I have access to and found the following:

Tewson, W., 4082, Private, 3rd Dragoon Guards, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal.

I am sorry no Defence of Ladysmith.....

So there is no record that you can find for a
4083 Pte W Tewson 4th Dragoon Guards?
I will contact the dealer to see what record he has

The QSA to 4083 Tewson is issued off a later (1905) roll that doesn't have the columns for battle clasps.
This roll notes that he is on no other roll for the QSA
In the column where his Transvaal eligibility is checked are the letters D o L, confirming to me his Defence of Ladysmith clasp.

Thanks for your help, he’s also entitled to the IGS 1895 clasp Punjab Frontier.
I can’t find him on the this roll W100/84 but I now have his service record.
Very few medals to the 4th, I’m led to believe only 5 CC clasps to the Regt.
I’ve been told that possibly only 20 named QSAs to the Regt.
