That's already progress - the idea being to try and find a medal or two to a chap(s) from one of these two companies.

It's such a pity that the ILI nominal rolls don't mention what Company a man served with as do some of the nominal rolls for other regiments.

It's a group I've had for a long while:

- SAGS with 1879 clasp to 675 Pte. P. McGowan, 2nd 4th Foot
- Cape of Good Hope GSM with Bechuanaland clasp to Pte. McGowan, D.E.O.V.R.
- QSA with CC clasp to 1825 Pte. P. McGowan, D.E.O.V.R.
- LSGC medal to 675 Pte. P. McGowan, 2nd 4th Foot.
