I think, to be quite honest, every day life is so often a learning curve, with medals, in particular, I don't think I've ever met anyone who has not made a mistake or three, you just move on from it, I think it is a perfectly good medal and perhaps, if it remains extant, you might chance upon the recipients KSA one day.
