The only entry I have found for W F Ricardo is the QSA roll (WO100/112p41) which lists Transvaal rather than Belfast. His biography does mention Belfast so either this is a roll error of there is another entry for him.



There are some Belfast clasps to the RHG but it is uncommon to this unit.

Robert Nicholson served with the Royal Horse Guards during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 August 1914.

Together with ‘Royal Horse Guards’ cloth should title.

Frederick Pope, of Brading, on the Isle of Wight, was born c.1871 and enlisted for service with the Royal Horse Guards in 1889. Serving for a total of 21 years with the Household Cavalry, he took part in the Second Anglo Boer War and also appears to have been present at the Coronation of Edward VII in 1902. M&E say his entitlement to the Coronation Medal is not currently confirmed).
