I read in "Blue Mauritius" that it was quite common for stamp dealers to print off copies of rare stamps to be sold as such - so that collectors would not have so many spaces in their collections. Now entered the lexicography as counterfeits although they were never intended to deceive. Liverpool Medals some time ago had some bronze clasps for sale. I am sure the manufacture of medals did and still does fulfill the same demand - having done the same myself; a 1914 clasp to illustrate the futhur service of a recipient. Bronze clasps, miniature bronze QSAs and KSAs ( whether full size of miniature ) I would add to the same category. A gold miniature - now that would be special
Looking for Salutries, Salootries and Veterinary Duffadars.
I collect primarily QSAs to Indian Recipients.

Here are the photos of the Gold QSA Miniature. Note the ring for suspension. I would assume that this was to mount as jewelry or on a watch chain. The raised parts are showing Mini scratches but the field between the letters is untouched.
This will be followed by the Bronze Mini Pair as soon as I can obtain usable photos.
Are there other Gold Minis out there?

Finally I think I have some useable images of the Bronze Miniature QSA/KSA pair I gave my grandson. He is the miniature collector in the family. These came from Chris Dixon some years back. It is the only pair I have ever encountered.
