A great group and a great story! Thank you for posting them. Since David created the new Natal Police thread, I have been considering posting something about the fact that long-serving Natal Police officers were not rewarded with long service medals, whereas the other ranks were. The absence of a long service award to West is striking, and he (like other NP officers) must have felt aggrieved by this slight.
