Below is the trio belonging to H Gutridge. The group comprises:

QSA (1) RoL (Gnr NFA)
QSA (6) Eland TH OFS RoL LN Belf (Sgt Natal Guides)
KSA (2) (Lt KFS)

Double issue QSA are not very common and I am always surprised there are not more of them. Perhaps the recipient of the double issue medal returned it and I wonder how many Woolwich managed to track down once they had been issued?

I have a pair of duplicates to the Matjiesfontein DMT, and the ASC. Skirtliff is the name. He changed units which would account for the duplicate.

The one on eBay is interesting, nice units. Good luck to anyone who is going after it. I am not.

Gentlemen
My contribution to the "Double Issue QSA" topic:
(1) Bel/MR/RofK/Paa/Dreif/Jhb/DH
(2) Bel/MR/Paa/Dreif/Johb/DH/RofK
Impressed to "167800 A.E.Hutchinson A.B. H.M.S. MONARCH".
Note the different clasp sequence. No.1 is named in the squarish caps often seen and (2) has the larger heavier caps sometimes seen on RN QSAs.
I have not so far researched this pair.
Regards
IL.
