David,

I would say that by 1906 his transgressions had been forgiven, they were all in the early part of his service. The last being in 1887.

Adrian,

Is the criteria for the LS&GC that there should be no transgressions or none in a set period?

David,

I believe so, that is particularly true with regards to the Navy LSGC awards however, perhaps in this case as they were all early on in his career he might have redeemed himself.

I will have another look at his page for you and give a bit more detail.

Hello David,

I have had another look at his page. It confirms the award of the QSA and KSA but unlike a few other chaps there is no mention of the LSGC medal??

It states that he was discharged in 1911 with 28 years service which would have qualified him for the LSGC medal however, it seems odd that the medal is not recorded on the page. Do you have a confirmation of the medal from a reqister or the likes?

I will get to you a decent photo of his page for you to have a look at, it will more than likely only be on Tuesday when I am in Cape Town again. As the pages are huge it will probably be 2 photos.
