Does anyone have a breakdown of the number per country?

If there were 1160 total? Or just British?

Alexander, Barron and Bateman in South African Orders, Decorations and Medals say 104 for South African's in the Boer War? That is about 4% of their officers. Does that sound right?

I counted those on this site and get 137 to South Africans.
