Thanks to Joanne (refer to her post above) I was able to include a photo of Hogg on his charger at the time of the Boer War in my original post.

In addition I include, again courtesy of Joanne, a newspaper extract of his obituary.

To a collector it is always most rewarding when provenance comes to light which adds lustre to the story.
