Hmm, very odd. I put a bid in at £540 and got the lead which has since been beaten.
It's a great historical medal from D of L but will probably go for much bigger bucks!

Hain's medal sold for a hammer price of £2,100. Totals (inc VAT on the commission for the UK only): £2,654. R51,000. Au$4,690. Can$4,380. US$3,640

540 was not going to work. I bid a lot more online when the catalogue first listed. I was the under bidder at 2000. The DoL Balloon medals have never been under 2000 pounds since about 2008 when I first started looking for one. I have been the under bidder many times! I was hoping the market had cooled.
