It has been a couple of months since we saw any Town Guard medals. There were two on Wednesday at Noonan's.

QSA (0) (821 Pte. J. McLaren. Grahamstown T. G.). Noonan's say entitled to CC. Sold for a hammer price of GBP 130. Totals: GBP 167. R 3,830. AUD 310. NZD 330. CAD 270. USD 200. EUR 190

QSA (0) (436 L. Cpl. J. T. McLaren. P. Elzbth. T. G.). James Torrance McLaren, a commercial traveller from Port Elizabeth, was born in Bannockburn, Stirlingshire, in 1870. He emigrated with his family to South Africa, and later attested into the Port Elizabeth Town Guard and served during the Boer War, on escort duty. He died in Port Elizabeth, aged 57, on 2 November 1927. Sold for a hammer price of GBP 90. Totals: GBP 116. R 2,650. AUD 220. NZD 230. CAD 190. USD 140. EUR 130
