A new acquisition on its way to me now is a 5 clasper to the S.A.C. - in itself nothing unusual save for the name which is why I bought the medal

It is to Tpr Finlay McDonald Pow - suitably quirky enough to be present a challenge research-wise.

Supplementary roll (WO100/274p324), E1804. SA01 & SA02. No notes.

QSA roll (WO100/273p134). CC, OFS & Tr. Tr added 7 Jun 1906. Medal issued 24 Nov 05 to Johannesburg.

Hi

This man was married to a distant, elderly aunt in my family tree. Would be most interested to know what if anything you have found out about him. She was Winifred Blackbeard. It seems he died in1931 and she then remarried. Would love to know more about him.
