Since taking a renewed interest in the BMR, I have discovered that medals to the regiment are indeed not common on the market, and recently they have been selling for surprisingly high prizes - by South African standards, as everything here is cheap in GBPs!

Quite frankly, I am still surprised by the prices being sort in South Africa on occasion, my thoughts would have to be, if you see it locally, simply buy it, once it reaches these shores, it will certainly be rather more expensive!

Every year I save for the City Coins sale, which gives me something to look forward to. The main source of medals locally seems to be the local equivalent of the world's favourite Internet market, and I patronise neither. My most recent acquisitions have been by an exchange. Otherwise, I dabble with my existing collection.
