I was interested in this thread as I recently did a comparison of recipients of the QSA from the Natal Volunteer Indian Ambulance Corps, and the recipients of the Natal 1906 medal from the Indian Stretcher Bearer Corps, as I am the current custodian of 3 examples. I looked at rolls given in an OMRS Journal article (1997 36:4) for the former alongside the list of recipients of the latter in "The Medal Roll of the Natal Native Rebellion 1906" (p 31). Given that 31 QSAs and 20 1906 medals were awarded I thought that some men would have served in both wars. Apart from the medals awarded to MK Ghandi which are well-documented, I could see no other instance of both medals being awarded to the same person, with one possible exception. This was QSA to J Ajodhya and 1906 medal to J Adohasing. The names are similar but not exact, although that in itself is not uncommon. Perhaps other members have seen examples of both being awarded?

Nemo,

That is very interesting. Other than the example you mention, I only recall seeing individual examples of QSAs and I cannot think of any Natal Medals that I have seen but I will go back through my records.

I know that DNW have sold at least two of the Natal 1906 in the last few years.

I have another in my collection, so that is 3 that are known

The medal to Adohasing is in a private collection in UK. The medal is actually named "Ajodasing", which illustrates my earlier point about non-identical naming. That is therefore 4 (plus Ghandi) that we know of.
