The Talana/DofL has always been one of my favourite clasp combinations.
Although I only have a meagre collection at the moment I thought them worthy of a separate display in my adapted Bisley medal cabinet.
QSA's left to right are:-

4071 Pte.John Lowe
1st Batt. Leicester Regt.
Died of disease at Ladysmith 6th April 1900

1083 Pte.W.Nicoll
Kings Royal Rifle Corps
Died of disease at Ladysmith 14th February 1900 (photo in frame)

4345 Pte.E.B.Oakes
18th Hussars
Died of disease at Ladysmith 15th February 1900 buried at Intonbi Cemetery

Thank you for looking

Paul :)

Wonderful collection of medals Paul.

Thought that this pic might add to the story a little.

A super casualty collection you have there Paul, these are getting much harder to find these days and have now become very expensive indeed.

Frank,

Thank you for your comments.
It is rather sad that all three men died of that terrible "disease" :(
