I was never in any doubt as to the medals authenticity despite a sustained attempt to cast doubt on its bona fides.

You mention Pat's book - I have referred to it but, truth be told, the medal comes from him as well; albeit that it arrived at my door via a more circuitous route!!

I'm very sorry indeed that your thread was, in effect, hijacked, I think it is fairly obvious to anyone, that the naming is not at all spurious in anyway, I have go with what I can see and will always keep any post factual rather than being speculative, I honestly think that people who clearly know nothing about medals have no business to add speculative comments which, when examined, have no foundation in fact whatsoever.
