A Stetson without badge named to a member of Strathcona Horse sold a short time ago for $6500.00 Cdn....... They did not survive long after the war because they kept on wearing them till they fell apart......

Well, to be quite honest, I do think that amount of money is an awful lot for a hat, notwithstanding, there can only be a certain number extant in any condition, clearly, a collector wants only the best possible, but, for me, at least, the price is rather like that Colt we spoke of in your other thread, a lot of money.
I mentioned the photographs only because, assuming that they were not previously published, each one would be unique and very few cameras existed in "private" hands on the veldt, so £4000, I suspect someone has found a bargain.
