My grandfather was a trooper in 1 Scottish Horse Unit. He received a QSA medal. I found this in Findmypast.co.uk. That's all I could find out and wondering where else I can go to get more information.

Hello and welcome to this forum,
The actual rolls and attestation papers for both regts of Scottish Horse are at the TNA Kew.
The Attestation papers will be found in WO126/112-126, the nominal roll is in WO127/20 and the QSA roll, which was rather damaged, is in WO100/268.
However, the roll in WO127 is also here on this site, from the menu on the left, select Unit Information, then South African Units, then Scottish Horse, once on that page click on Nominal Rolls in the box on the top right of the page, then select the first page by the first letter of your mans surname.
The medal rolls are also on line at ancestry, good luck in your research,
