GF was born in Faversham England, 1867. Lived in Canada after the age of fourteen and is buried at Highland Memory Gardens Toronto (York).

There was a photo published by the Toronto Star at the dedication of the memorial on University Ave. I had it saved on my lap top, alas it is gone now. WHD was among the veterans in the photo, campaign hat and all.
