Hello again, I am very impressed with your service Sir, thank you very much. Yes it is my Grandfather William CROFT. The description on the Attestation Form is spot on. as is the Home address. As The Depot Chief Inspector (the RSM in other words) used to yell out on the Parade Ground at Morris Depot,at Salisbury, Rhodesia when I was a member of the British South Africa Police, back in the 1960's, ."Well done that Man" !!! I really do mean it. Thanks again.
Regards, Peter Croft Burridge (Grandfather)

Hello yet again, the SA Constabulary Attestation Form above, does not equate to my Grandfather. Obviously the service number I quoted, was incorrect. It came from Ancestry.com but the name endorsed on their records was CROFT, not as it appears above CROFTS. The DOB is again different from my Grandfather William CROFT 43162 of the SALH, appointment Attestation Form shows his age is 23 years which is correct (DOB 19 March 1879). I wonder if the SAC number HQ 100 - which seems to be endorsed on the records, is useful ? Thanks again especially for the SALH Form, that is great.
Regards,
Peter Croft Burridge (Grandfather).

Hello Peter,

I don't think that HQ 100 William Croft is you man either. Date of birth is wrong.

All the other details are different too. I read HQ 100's surname as Craft rather than Croft.

Arthur
