Darryl, please send me a PM with your email address and I will send you a summary of the information I have collected s far, I have copies of the muster rolls for the 45th for their entire stay in South Africa, so I can follow the postings of individuals, although it seems you already have that for your ggf.

I didn't realise the Regiment had played such a big part in Natal and in particular Fort Napier an i am intrigued that he played a small part.
