Berenice needs no introduction for regular members of the site. As Brett mentioned some years ago, Berenice's avatar is very distinctive but it is Berenice's posts that most stand out. This is because they are very detailed and usually supported by excellent photographs.
Berenice's travels around the country to Boer War monuments and her documenting of these for posterity has been a great contribution to Boer War and genealogical research more generally.
I also need to mention the many newspaper articles that Berenice has transcribed and posted on the ABW site. As anyone who has even transcribed a contemporary newspaper article will know, this is a very time-consuming and detailed process. The newspaper articles are very valuable because they tend to give the soldier's perspective on the Boer War and the sometimes very sad consequences of involvement.
If you add to that the help and support Berenice provides to others asking for assistance and guidance on their own research, you have a super-contributor whose range of work on the site I would very much like to acknowledge and celebrate.
Thank you, Berenice.
