At Derby railway station. How many of you have used the station without realising that this memorial is on one of the platforms?!

Hello,
I always look out for this type of memorial, whether ABW, Great War or WW2 a lot do still exist, but, I wonder how many have been lost after stations were closed.

Those I've found seem to be related to railway company staff rather than specifically to a station which is why Leicester station doesn't have one but Nottingham does. Derby is the only station I've found an ABW memorial at.

Hi Bernice,
Thank you for posting this.
I have seen it before, I have the QSA to Lance Sgt.Hammond West Yorkshire Regt. on the second photograph.
He is also listed on the memorial at York and inside York Minster.

Paul :)
